    On your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality; Representatives from Driver Lanka tours will welcome you at the Airport and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

With a stash of decent hotels and restaurants to suit all pockets, a friendly local community, an interesting old quarter and a reasonable (though somewhat polluted) beach, Negombo is a much easier place to find your Sri Lankan feet than Colombo.

  • Day 2 -Anuradhapura

    Munneswaram Hindu Temple

    Munneswaram temple is an important regional Hindu temple complex in Sri Lanka. It has been in existence at least since 1000 CE.The temple complex is a collection of five temples, including a Buddhist temple. This is known as a tourist spot.The temple is one of the ancient Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Shiva in the region.

    Anuradhapura was made the first capital of Sri Lanka by King Pandukhabaya in the 4th century.Anuradhapura is a beautiful picturesque town.It is is popular for the ancient ruins and deep rooted Buddhist culture.The city, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the centre of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.Sri Maha Bodhi is situated in Anuradhapura.It is the oldest tree in the world, to ancient monasteries and ruins of historical importance.

    Isurumuniya is a Buddhist temple situated near to the Tissa Wewa.It is most famous for the stone carving of a couple located there.

  • Day 3 - Transfer Anuradhapura to Jaffna

    The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha.It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
